Cellular 911 Call Reporting

911inform’s Cellular 911 Call Notification gives organizations real-time awareness when a 9-1-1 call is placed from a mobile device within their property boundaries, closing the visibility gap created by mobile-first emergencies.

Using geofencing and location checks, the platform instantly alerts on-site teams with call timing and precise location, while maintaining complete caller anonymity.

The result: faster response, better coordination, and no emergency going unnoticed.

Geofencing

911inform draws a digital boundary around a property. When a device dials 9-1-1 from within the geofence, the cell phone's precise location is sent to first responders and a 911inform notification is created.

One Property

Geofences are drawn around the entire property - whether multiple buildings in a campus, a city block, and can be as granular as right up to the sidewalk and curb. The geofence bounds and encompasses everything your organization owns, capturing cellular 9-1-1 calls from anywhere on your property.

Mobile Emergency Intelligence

Alerts sent to personnel do not contain the phone number or other personal information about the caller maintaining complete anonymity and privacy. The notifications are generated by the carrier network and the PSAP/ECC allows any device to call 9-1-1 within a Geofence without having a prior relationship. Each notification provides the enterprise with information of where and when a call was placed and where with an overhead view of the property.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is cellular 9-1-1 call reporting?

Cellular 9-1-1 call reporting alerts an organization when someone places a 9-1-1 call from a mobile phone anywhere on its property. Because most emergency calls now come from cell phones rather than desk phones, facilities using only MLTS-based systems have no visibility into them. 911inform closes that gap using a geofence around the property.

How does 911inform know a cell phone 9-1-1 call came from our property?

911inform draws a digital geofence around the property boundary. When a device dials 9-1-1 from inside that boundary, the carrier network passes the phone's precise location to first responders and generates a 911inform notification for on-site teams. The geofence can be drawn to the sidewalk and curb and can encompass multiple buildings across a campus.

Do employees and visitors need to install an app?

No. Cellular 9-1-1 detection requires no app, no software download, and no prior registration of the device. Notifications are generated by the carrier network, and the serving PSAP allows any device inside the geofence to trigger a notification without having an existing relationship with your organization, which is what makes it work for visitors, contractors, and guests.

Does 911inform track our employees' cell phones?

No. 911inform does not track, monitor, or store device locations. A location is passed only at the moment a device places a 9-1-1 call from inside the geofence. There is no continuous location monitoring, no background tracking, and no location history for any device on the property.

Does the alert tell us who called 9-1-1?

No. Alerts sent to your personnel do not contain the caller's phone number or any personal identifying information, the caller remains anonymous. Each notification tells you where on the property the call originated and when it was placed, presented with an overhead view of the property.

How accurate is the location on a cellular 9-1-1 call?

Location is derived from the carrier network and delivered to responders along with the notification. 911inform's platform reports emergency event locations to within approximately three meters of accuracy.

Who We Are

911inform is the only all-encompassing platform to help emergency response teams better manage communication and connected-building controls directly related to an emergency. Our solution provides emergency notifications to dispatch, first responders and key building personnel seconds after a 911 emergency phone call is placed within a 911inform geofenced building location. Our software is activated, through PBX phone or smartphone, and provides an emergency notification to all required parties, as well as the exact location (within 3 meters of accuracy) of the emergency event location. We then hand the connected-building controls to dispatch and emergency response teams, allowing them to use the video surveillance feeds, voice control systems and door access capabilities directly related to the emergency, ensuring that they can arrive on scene as quickly as possible and be better prepared when they do.
